The Maryland Bar Association

The Maryland Bar Association

The Maryland Bar Association is a voluntary organization which includes members from several states. Unlike many other Bar Associations, members are not required to join and lawyers can practice in the state without becoming a member.
The Maryland Bar Association includes many member benefits. For example, members can access many legal documents, including court findings, almost immediately after the case has occurred. In addition, the Maryland Bar Association provides webinars and seminars for members, so that they can take part in legal discussions, which include legal, moral and ethical questions that apply to the field of law.
The purpose of the Maryland Bar Association is to provide easy access to legal information for lawyers and their clients. However, the Maryland Bar Association was originally created so that all lawyers would abide by strict legal, moral and ethical standards, which would apply to everyone in the legal profession. It was vital that lawyers abide by these rules, in order to prevent abuse of the legal system.
The Maryland Bar Association has also worked together to enact more simplified court procedures so that legal questions could be answered without complicated procedural issues. This simplified process made citizens able to understand the legal issues they were facing. Previously the court procedures were complicated and many people, including lawyers, had difficulty following the complicated steps involved. Now however the process has been made simple, allowing for more speedy trials and less confusion

The International Bar Association

The International Bar Association

The International Bar Association was created in 1947 and continues to include many members which practice International law, Bar Associations and Law organizations from around the world. The International Bar Association works to enact change and reform, in questions of law that apply internationally. These changes influence legal standards and practices around the world.
There are over forty thousand member lawyers, as well as almost two hundred bar associations which belong to the International Bar Association. There are two divisions of the International Bar Association, including the Legal Practice Division and the Public and Professional Interest division, each of which has differing focuses.  There are also various committees within each division of the Bar Association that have a sub focus within that field of law.
The International Bar Association distributes many publications to members, which handle issues of legal, moral and ethical standards. They also hold seminars which discuss the information provided in those publications as well as legal procedures and the implications of those procedures on questions of law around the world.
The International Bar Association also has a Human Rights Institute which seems to enact fair and standard legal practices around the world, to ensure equal human rights to all people, including legal rights. Those rights include the freedom for lawyers to practice law equally around the world, thereby ensuring that every person has access to legal representation, no matter where they are in the world.

The Florida Bar Association

The Florida Bar Association

The Florida Bar association currently has many members in the state, all of which are lawyers in good standing. Those searching for a lawyer that is a member of the Florida Bar association, simply have to go to organizations website and select the Florida Bar member search. There are many lawyers listed by specialty and location and individuals can be assured that lawyers listed under the Florida Bar member search, are lawyers in good standing.
The history of the Florida Bar association begins in the late eighteen hundreds when lawyers gathered together to form the Bar association. The group published legal journals, wrote court procedures and provided seminars for member lawyers. At the time, the group was completely voluntary and some lawyers chose not to join.
However, the late nineteen thirties included a recommendation by member lawyers, that all lawyers that practiced in the state of Florida be required to apply for the Florida Bar association. This was done to have a more cohesive organization of lawyers that could communicate with one another, learn from each other and have a standard of legal practice in the state. It was also hoped that there would be standard codes or moral and ethical practice for the field of law in Florida.
Since its inception, the Florida Bar association has grown immensely and has enacted great change in the field of law. Members are now able to access extensive legal information and each is required to practice law in a legal and ethical manner in order to remain members in good standing.
